Tango Music for Tango Dancers – Dancing to the Music

• In his double condition of musician and tango dancer, Joaquín Amenábar has developed an absolute unique practical teaching system of tango musicality for tango dancers in which no musical knowledge is required at all. From the most basic rhythmical units to the most complicated ones, this classes start from the very beginning of a tango dancer's education and can be the first tango class ever for a tango dancer. The fact that no musical terminology is used in the classes makes it easy to access for everybody. The courses , that are 100% practical workshops, cover a wide range of themes:
  
  
  1. Understanding the different rhythmical patterns in tango, milonga and vals.
  2. The Melody, the rhythm of the melody, how does it changes from phrase to phrase, the variable rhythm of tango according to each phrase.
  3. Tango form and structure. Phrases system, parts of the tango and its repetition system and its relation with the dance. How to predict the placing of the rhythmical changes in tango.
  4. Choreographic planning and Improvisation in relation with the tango structure, -regular or irregular structure-.
  5. Different orchestras and the relationship between orchestral style and dance style.
